Today I went to the Children's Museum with my friend and her 2 kids (aka: my niece (4y) and nephew (4m) though no actual blood relation).
My niece loves running in the water at the fountain on the center, as her brother looks on with a furrowed brow.
After my friend invited me to dinner, but I needed a break and had to do a few things at home. I offered to take my niece back over to my place so that she could get some stuff done and only have to worry about one kid.
At my house I did a few chores and listened to my nieces chatter; I keep wondering when her battery is going to run out.
"Aunt Quornflour, did you know..?"
She is a blunt and bold child around people that she knows; well she is bold around people she does not know if you have something she likes. I heard "wow, I love your dress" and "that is a beautiful cheetah purse." At my apartment she honed directly into my fabric stashed and asked when it was that I would be making her a dress. (This following a conversation earlier in the day where I learned that she has 28 dresses).
What's one more?
So I made up a little dress and sewed it up; based on initial testing it should hold up to the activities of a busy four year old. Now I have to make one for her American Girl Doll, God forbid I make a dress for one and not the other.
